Executive Order on Amendments to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
of June 19, 1970
At the General Assembly of the International Patent Cooperation Union on October 2, 1979, the following amendments were adopted in the Patent Cooperation Treaty of June 19, 1970, cf. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Order no. 3 of 16 January 1979, Law Journal C:
Articles 53, 11)
The text of paragraph. (a) and (b) are amended to
• '(A) The Assembly shall be convened by the Director-General every other calendar year for an ordinary meeting and, unless there are special circumstances, within the same period and at the same place where the General Meeting of the Organization is held.'
Article 54 (6) (a)
In para. (ii) the words "three-year-old" are replaced by "two-year" and paragraph 2 (iii) is deleted.
According to the Communication of 6 April 1984 from the Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the amendments entered into force on 3 May 1984.
