Details Details Year of Version 2013 Dates Entry into force: January 1, 2002 Adopted: December 20, 2001 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes The notification by China to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'It is the second revision to the Regulations on Computer Software Protection. This revision aims to enhance the protection of intellectual property; specially, it increases the penalty for the administrative penalties:
1. Setting the starting point of the fine which is calculated in the value of the goods;
2. Raising the ceiling of the fine (from 50,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan).
The revised Regulations on Computer Software Protection entered into force on March 1, 2013.'
