Details Details Year of Version 2014 Dates Entry into force: February 6, 2012 Adopted: January 9, 2012 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Trademarks, Transfer of Technology, Other Notes This Law provides for the implementation of the state industrial and innovation policies of Kazakhstan. It lays down the legal and economic framework and specifies the state support measures for industrial and innovation activities, including, among others, consulting services for the protection of IP rights, licensing of IP rights, grant for patenting abroad or in regional patent organizations, and promotion of domestic trademarks abroad (see Chapter 2, Articles 4(18) & 5(19), Chapter 3, Articles 11(5) & 12(3)(1), Chapter 4, Articles 20(3)(5) & 26(2)(2)).

This consolidated version of the Law incorporates amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan Law No. 159-V of January 13, 2014, which came into force on January 26, 2014 (see Chapter 1, Article 5(5), (11) of the consolidated version for the amendments).
