Details Details Year of Version 1974 Dates Adopted: June 26, 1974 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Plant Variety Protection, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes These Rules, issued persuant to paragraph 9(2) of Schedule 4 to the Plant Varieties and Seed Act 1964, provide for the rules of procedure for the Plant Variety and Seeds Tribunal. These Rules revoke the Plant Variety Rights Tribunal Rules 1965.
These Rules are structured into 24 rules and 2 Schedules. In particular, rules 15 to 18 'Appeals from Ministers and from the Forestry Commissioners' provide for the appeal procedure under Part II of the Plant Varieties and Seeds Act 1964, that deals with the right of appeal to the tribunal in relation to the agricultural and foresty plants which can be marketed and to the registration of seed merchants, packers and processors.
