Notes
This Decree renews the agreement for the Centre français d’exploitation du droit de copie (the French Center for Copyright Exploitation) for a five years term.
This Center is a collective management society regulated by Articles L. 311-1 to L. 311-8 of the Intellectual Property Code, which aims to defend authors and publishers’ rights against illicit copies of their works. In order to do so, it contractually allows organizations to make paper or electronic copies and in return they pay royalties which are passed on to the authors and publishers whose works have actually been copied by this Centre français d’exploitation du droit de copie.
