LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

On introduction if amendments and additions to the law of the Republic of

Tajikistan “On production and safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals”

Article 1. To introduce following amendments and additions to the Law of the

Republic of Tajikistan «On production and safe handling of pesticides and

agrochemicals» dated April 22, 2003(Bulletin of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of

Tajikistan No. 4, Art. 131 2003:. No. 5. Art. 368 2007):

1. To add fourth paragraph to the first part of the Article 11 that reads as follows: «ensuring confidentiality of the materials submitted for ecological appraisal.»

2. To delete part 4 of the article 22. 3. To add article 24 to the Chapter IV that reads as follows: “Article 24. Protection of confidentiality of information on pesticides and

agrochemicals”

With purpose of the protection of the confidential information on pesticides and

agrochemicals, its owner has the right to take measures to protect confidentiality of

information as well as procedure of its disclosure to the third parties.

Confidentiality of the classified information on pesticides and agrochemicals is

established by its owner under the condition that this information is:

- of limited use and is not commonly known;

- of commercial value.

Confidentiality mode is established in compliance with the legislation of the Republic

of Tajikistan on commercial confidentiality”.

Article 2. Present Law shall come into force after its official publication.
