Details Details Year of Version 2016 Dates Entry into force: January 1, 2016 Adopted: October 31, 2015 Type of Text Framework Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes This consolidated version of the Code incorporates amendments made by Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 489-V of April 8, 2016, which came into force on April 20, 2016 (see Section 3, Chapter 52, Article 402; and Section 4, Chapter 58, Article 505 of the consolidated Code for the amendments).

The notification by Kazakhstan to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'[The consolidated Code] provides application of provisional measures if any delay is likely to cause irreparable harm to the right holder [Section 2, Subsection 2, Chapter 15].'
The consolidated Code contains specific provisions relating to the application of summary proceedings in intellectual property disputes (Section 2, Subsection 1, Chapter 13, Article 145 (1)(9)), and non-recognition of foreign state immunity from proceedings concerning the infringement of intellectual property rights (Section 4, Chapter 57, Article 489).
