The notification by Seychelles to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
Under the 'Industrial Property (Marks) Regulations', any person claiming to be the owner of a trademark could submit a registration application to the Registrar of Trade Marks.
The term of protection for a trademark is 10 years and could be renewed for a 7-year period. It granted the trademark owner the exclusive right to use the trademark in relation to any goods and services.'
