The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1989

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 305(3) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 19881, hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1989.
2. Section 304(4) and (6) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 ("the 1988 Act") shall come into force on 28th July 1989
3. In article 2 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Commencement No. 1) Order 19892 there shall be added to the list of the provisions of Part VII of the 1988 Act which do not come into force on 1st August 1989 a reference to section 304(4) and (6).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1989 provides for the majority of the provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (including section 304(4) and (6)) to come into force on 1st August 1989. This Order amends the earlier Order and brings section 304(4) and (6) into force on 28th July 1989.
