Details Details Year of Version 2021 Dates Status as of: March 28, 2021 Amended up to: June 5, 2010 Entry into force: January 1, 1950 Enacted: December 16, 1949 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions) Notes This consolidated version of the Patents Act 1949 (Chapter 87) takes into account amendments up to the Arbitration (Scotland) Act 2010 (Consequential Amendments) Order 2010 (S.I. 2020/220). Article 1 specified in paragraph 2(a) & 2(b) of the Schedule of the said amending Order (S.I. 2020/220) introduced amendments (entered into force on 05.06.2010) to section 67(4) under "Proceedings for infringement, etc" of the said consolidated version. The consolidated version of the Patents Act 1949 (Chapter 87) was updated on March 28, 2021 because Article 1 specified in paragraph 2(a) & 2(b) of the Schedule of the amending Order (S.I. 2020/220) were incorporated to the said consolidated version.
