Details Details Year of Version 2022 Dates Amended up to: August 1, 2022 Entry into force: October 1, 2005 Adopted: April 21, 2005 Type of Text Framework Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Criminal Procedure Law takes into account amendments up to "Law of June 16, 2022, on Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Law", which entered into force on August 1, 2022. The said amending Law introduced amendments to Section 442 (Instances of Court Proceedings in a Criminal Case) under Chapter 40 (Criminal cases within the Jurisdiction of a Court), Division Eight (General Provisions of Court Proceedings), Part B of this consolidated version. In the first paragraph of Article 442, the words "the Vidzeme suburb of the city of Riga" were replaced by "Riga City Court" as of August 1, 2022. Article 125 under Division Two (Evidence and Investigative Actions), Chapter 9 (Proving and Evidence) and paragraph 3) under Annex 3 of this consolidated version relate to infringement of intellectual property rights.
