Details Details Year of Version 2024 Dates Amended up to: June 28, 2021 Assented: January 1, 1985 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Trademarks Subject Matter (secondary) Competition, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Trademarks Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. T-13) takes into account amendments up to the 'Budget Implementation Act, 2018, No. 2 (S.C. 2018, c. 27)', which entered into force on different dates. The amendments introduced by sections 255, 256, 257 and 258(1) of the said amending Act to this consolidated version of the Trademarks Act entered into force on June 28, 2021.
