Details Details Year of Version 2023 Dates Published: December 30, 2023 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes The Digital Services Act (DSA), also known as the DSA Accompanying Act (DSA-BegG), entered into force on February 17, 2024. It was adopted to establish the Coordinator for Digital Services Act and to amend several existing laws, including the KommAustria Act, the E-Commerce Act, the General Civil Code, the Copyright Act, the Court Fees Act, the Media Act, the Code of Criminal Procedure 1975, the Public Prosecutor's Office Act, the Federal Act on Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters with the Member States of the European Union, the Extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance Act, and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (E-Commerce Directive). Article 5 of the Act, effective as of February 14, 2024, introduces amendments to paragraph 1a, second sentence, under Section 81 of the Copyright Act 1936. These amendments pertain to the implementation of provisions under Regulation (EU) No. 2022/2065, which addresses the internal market for digital services and amends Directive 2000/31/EC.
