'The Order appoints 1 April 1964 as the date on which the Trade Marks Act 1963 (No. 9 of 1963) comes into operation. By virtue of Rule 3 of the Trade Marks Rules 1963 the date of commencement of those Rules is also 1 April 1964'.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 of the Trade Marks Act, 1963 (No. 9 of 1963), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Trade Marks Act, 1963 (Commencement) Order, 1964.
2. The Trade Marks Act, 1963 (No. 9 of 1963), shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1964.
