Details Details Year of Version 2024 Dates Entry into force: May 6, 2024 Published: May 6, 2024 Promulgated: May 3, 2024 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Industrial Property Notes Article 5 of Law No. 14,852, of May 3, 2024, introduces paragraph VI to Article 2 of the Intellectual Property Law, defining electronic games. For the purposes of the amending law, electronic games include interactive computer programs, dedicated gaming devices and accessories, and software consumed via download or streaming, including mobile applications, website-based games, video game console games, and games in virtual, augmented, mixed, or extended reality.
