Details Details Year of Version 2002 Dates Entry into force: April 1, 2002 Adopted: February 25, 2002 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Patents (Inventions) Notes These Regulations, which came into force on 1 April 2002, changed the time limits required to fulfil obligations under Article 22(1) of the Patents Cooperation Treaty and section 26G(1)(b) of the Patents Act 1953.

Pursuant to section 114 of the Patents Act 1953, Her Excellency the Governor- General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

(1) These regulations are the Patents (Patent Cooperation Treaty) Amendment Regulations 2002.

(2) In these regulations, the Patents (Patent Cooperation Treaty) Regulations 1992 are called “the principal regulations”.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 1 April 2002.

3 Time limit specified for articles 22(1) and 39(1) of Patent Cooperation Treaty

Substituted expression in r4(2) of principal regulations.

4 Time limit specified for section 26G(1)(b) of Act

Substituted expression in r5(b) of principal regulations.
