LAW No. 2.415, OF FEBRUARY 9, 1955

Alters the provisions of Decree No. 18.527 of

December 10, 1928, and Decree No. 20.493

of January 24, 1946

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC. I hereby make known that the National Congress has decreed and I sanction the following Law:

Article 1

The grant, in the national territory, of a copyright license for the carrying­out of

performances, public performances and telebroadcasts by radio or television, as dealt with in

Articles 42 and 43, §1 of Decree No. 18.527 of December 10, 1928, and 88 of Decree No.

20.493 of January 24, 1946, shall be exclusive to the author himself or the company legally

set up for the defense of copyright, of which the author is a member and which has

registered him in accordance with Article 105, §1 of Decree No. 20.493, of January 24, 1946.

Article 2

Contrary provisions are hereby revoked.

LEI Nº 2.415, DE 9 DE FEVEREIRO DE 1955.

Altera dispositivos dos Decretos números 18.527, de 10 de dezembro de 1928, e 20.493, de 24 de janeiro de 1946.

O PRESIDENTE DA REPÚBLICA, faço saber que CONGRESSO NACIONAL decreta e eu sanciono a seguinte Lei:

Art. 1º A outorga, no território nacional, da licença autoral para a realização de representações, execuções públicas e tele-transmissões pelo rádio ou televisão, de que tratam os arts. 42 e 43, § 1º, do Decreto número 18.527, de 10 de dezembro de 1928, e 88 do Decreto nº 20.493, de 24 de janeiro de 1946, compete exclusivamente ao próprio autor ou à sociedade legalmente constituída para defesa de direitos autorais, à qual o autor fôr filiado e que o tenha registrado na forma do art. 105, § 1º, do Decreto nº 20.493, de 24 de janeiro de 1946.

Art. 2º Revogam-se as disposições em contrário.

Rio de Janeiro, em 9 de fevereiro de 1955; 134º da Independência e 67º da República.
