Reservation and declarations made upon accession: "1. In accordance with Article 1 (3) of the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia declares that it will apply the Convention for Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards made only in the Territory of another contracting State. 2. In accordance with Article 1 (3) of the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia declares that it will apply the convention on differences arising out of legal relationships, whether contractual or not, which are considered commercial under the National Law of Ethiopia. 3. The Convention only applies in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with respect to Arbitration Agreements concluded and Arbitral Awards rendered after the date of its accession to the Convention."
