The Trade Marks (Fees) Revocation Rules 2008

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 54 and 79 of the Trade Marks Act 1994(1), makes the following Rules:
Citation and Commencement
1. These Rules may be cited as the Trade Marks (Fees) Revocation Rules 2008 and shall come into force on 1st October 2008.
Revocation
2. The Trademarks (Fees) Rules 2000(2) to the extent that they relate to fees payable in respect of matters arising under the Trade Marks (International Registration Order) 1996(3) are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Rules)
These Rules revoke the Trade Marks (Fees) Rules 2000 to the extent that they related to fees payable in respect of matters arising under the Trade Marks (International Registration) Order 1996. Fees for international registrations are now dealt with in the Trademarks (International Registration) Order 2008 (S.I. 2008/2206.) No impact assessment has been prepared in relation to these Rules as they do not have any impact on business.
