Copyright Regulations (Public Performance in Education Institutions), 5770-2012

Pursuant to my authority under section 29 and 67 to the Copyright Law, 5768‒2007 (Hereinafter ‒ the Law) and with permission of the Minister of Education, I hereby enact these regulations:
Types of Educational Institutions
1. An educational institution which permits the public performance of a work, under section 29 of the Law, during its’ educational activities, shall consists of:
(1) A recognized educational institution, as defined in the Obligatory Education Law, 5706‒1949;
(2) A school or kindergarten in which more than ten students study or receive education regularly, and at which not-for profit kindergarten, primary, secondary education or art education are provided, and to which compulsory licensing applies under the School Regulation Law, 5729‒1969 (Hereinafter ‒ Regulation Law), including an institute, as said, which was exempt from application thereof under section 2(a)(5) of the Regulation Law.
(3) A special needs educational institution, as defined in the Distinct Education Law, 5748‒1988;
(4) An Educational program in a hospital, as defined in the Free Education for Sick Kinds Law, 5761‒2001;
(5) An educational institution of a unique culture, as defined in the Educational Institutions of a Unique Culture Law, 5768‒2008;
(6) A professional School, as defined in the Apprenticeship Law, 5713‒1953;
(7) A recognized educational institution as defined in section 9 of the Higher Education Council Law, 5718‒1958, or for which a permit or license was provided under section 21A of said Law or it operates under a license under section 25C of said Law;
(8) An pre-academic preparatory course operating in one of the institutions aforementioned in paragraph (7);
(9) A pre-military preparatory course, as defined in the Pre-Military Preparatory Courses Law, 5768‒2008;
(10) A Hebrew Ulpan, teachers’ training center, and student learning centers, regulated by the Ministry of Education;
(11) A post-secondary institution which grants a biblical or religious education;
(12) A music school recognized by the Ministry of Education, for the purpose of this matter;
(13) An institution with state-operated regular schooling or education.
