On 1 October 2018, Denmark informed the Director-General that: "The Convention should now be applied to the Faroe Islands. Consequently, Denmark withdraws its territorial declaration with regard to the Faroe Islands"
On 17 December 2013, Denmark informed the Director-General that "…Denmark withdraws its declaration in respect of Greenland with regard to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, adopted at Paris on 17 October 2003 and approved by the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark on 30 October 2009."
Declaration made upon approval:
"Until further notice, the Convention shall not apply to the Faroe Islands and Greenland."
