EXPLANATORY NOTE
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
The effect of these regulations is to convert measurements in the Patents Regulations 1954 to metric measurements.
In the course of the conversion, the measurements relating to margins on documents, and the height of the lettering of descriptive matter on drawings, have been altered. All other conversions are to the metric equivalents of present measurements.
The regulations also require A4 international size paper to be used instead of foolscap paper in documents filed in the Patent Office.
Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
Date of notification in Gazette: 26 March 1975.
These regulations are administered in the Department of Justice.
