Details Details Year of Version 2011 Dates Entry into force: August 17, 1999 Adopted: July 16, 1999 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Utility Models Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body, Industrial Designs, Genetic Resources Notes This consolidated version of the Law incorporates amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 452-IV of July 5, 2011, which came into force on October 13, 2011 (see Chapter 1, Articles 4 of the consolidated version for the amendments made by the said Law No. 452-IV).

Article 2(2) of the consolidated Law provides that protection of other intellectual property rights (selection achievements, topologies of integrated circuits, trademarks, service marks, appellations of origins, etc.) shall be regulated by other legislative acts.
