Details Details Year of Version 2006 Dates Adopted: January 19, 2001 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Competition, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body, Other Notes This consolidated version of the Law incorporates amendments made by Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 125 of January 31, 2006, which came into force on February 14, 2006 (see Chapter 2-1, Articles 16-1 to 16-8 of the consolidated version for the amendments made by the said Law No. 125).

The consolidated Law defines the legal framework for prevention, limitation and suppression of monopolistic activities and unfair competition.
Among others, Article 6(2) provides that the Anti-monopoly body is entrusted to take measures to suppress acts of unfair competition.
Article 10(4) allows the employees of the Anti-monopoly body to access a commercial secret in the course of their duties and prevents them from disclosing it to others.
