Details Details Year of Version 2017 Dates Amended up to: November 5, 2017 Entry into force: June 1, 1996 Published: May 12, 1996 Adopted: March 29, 1996 Type of Text Framework Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Industrial Designs, Trademarks, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Code of Civil Procedure (approved by Law No. 8116 of March 29, 1996) takes into account amendments up to "Law No. 38/2017 of March 30, 2017", which was published in the Official Gazette on May 5, 2017, and entered into force on November 5, 2017 (6 months after its date of publication). Article 173, paragraph d under Chapter II, Title II, Part Two of this consolidated Code underlines that, when it is necessary to mention trade, invention secrets, the publication of which would affect interest protected by law, a session behind closed doors is allowed. Article 348 under Chapter III, Title III, Part Two of the Code states that disputes which result from patents, trade and service marks, industrial designs, models and any other rights resulting from industrial property, are tried by the section of trade disputes in the court of the district of Tirana.
