Details Details Year of Version 2022 Dates Consolidated: July 28, 2022 Entry into force: January 1, 1996 Adopted: April 25, 1995 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions) Subject Matter (secondary) Plant Variety Protection, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Genetic Resources, IP Regulatory Body, Utility Models Notes This consolidated version of July 28, 2022 of Act No. XXXIII of 1995 on the Protection of Inventions by Patents takes into account amendments up to "Act No. XXIV of 2022 on the Implementation of the Central Budget Measures for 2023", which entered into force on July 28, 2022.

Section 8 of the said amending Act No. XXIV repealed the following provisions of this consolidated Act:
- Paragraph (e) of Article 115/K under Chapter XIV/C "The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office", Part VI "Provisions on the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office";
- Paragraph (4a) of Article 118 under Chapter XV "Entry into Force; Transitional Provisions", Part VII "Final Provisions".
