Details Details Year of Version 2023 Dates Status as of: October 12, 2023 Assented: November 15, 1988 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Patents (Inventions), Industrial Designs Notes This consolidated version of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Chapter 48), updated and generated on October 12, 2023, incorporates amendments up to the Health and Care Act 2022 (Chapter 31), which entered into force on different dates. Paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 of the Health and Care Act 2022 (Chapter 31) introduced amendments to Section 48(6) (relating to Material communicated to the Crown in the course of public business) under Chapter III (Acts Permitted in Relation to Copyright Works) of this consolidated Act. In particular, the words “the Health Services Safety Investigations Body,” were inserted after “the Care Quality Commission.” This amendment entered into force on October 1, 2023.
