Details Details Year of Version 2022 Dates Amended up to: April 1, 2022 Commenced: February 15, 1999 Assented: January 26, 1999 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Layout-Designs of Integrated Circuits Act 1999 incorporates all amendments up to the Courts (Civil and Criminal Justice) Reform Act 2021 (Act No. 25 of 2021), which entered into force on different dates. Under Part 14 (Amendments to Other Acts), Section 149 of the said amending Act introduced amendments (effective from April 1, 2022) to Sections 14(2), 15(a), 16(1)(a), and 21(1)(a) of this consolidated version. In each case, the word “plaintiff” was deleted and replaced with the word “claimant.”
