Notes This consolidated version of Federal Act of March 25, 1954, incorporates amendments up to the Federal Act of December 17, 2021, on the Harmonization of Penalties, which entered into force on July 1, 2023.
Article 7 of the consolidated Act states that:
“Signs whose use is prohibited under this Act, as well as those liable to be confused with such signs, may not be registered as a trademark, design, trade name, association or foundation name, nor as an element thereof.”
