Notes This consolidated version of the Decree incorporates amendments up to Law No. 4/2024 of January 15, 2024, which entered into force on February 14, 2024. It amends the regime in force governing anti-economic offenses and offenses against public health, replacing and modernizing the previous framework, notably that established by Decree-Law No. 41.204 of July 24, 1957. Article 23 is particularly relevant to intellectual property enforcement, as it criminalizes the manufacture, importation, sale, and distribution of counterfeit or falsified goods. Although trademarks are not expressly mentioned, the provision indirectly supports trademark protection by addressing conduct commonly associated with trademark counterfeiting.
