注 This consolidated version of the Patents Act 1977 (Chapter 37) takes into account amendments up to the "Patents (European Patent with Unitary Effect and Unified Patent Court) (Repeal and Revocation) Regulations 2021 (S.I. 355/2021)", which entered into force on April 12, 2021.
Paragraph 1 of the Schedule interpreting Regulation 1(2) of the said amending Regulations 2021 (S.I. 2021/355) provides for the repeal of section 88A and 88B of the said consolidated version of the Patents Act 1977 (relating to the withdrawal of the UK from the UPC Agreement).
This consolidated version of the Patents Act 1977has been updated with all changes known to be in force on or before 21 August 21, 2022 (see the list ‘Changes to legislation’ on pages 164–165 of this consolidated version for detailed information).
