Declaration made upon accession:
"We hereby declare that the said Convention will apply only to the territory of the State of Vatican City and to its civil law; at the same time, pursuant to article I, paragraph 3, of the Convention, we enter a reservation to the effect that the State of Vatican City will apply the said Convention on the basis of reciprocity, on the one hand, to the recognition and enforcement of awards made only in the territory of another Contracting State, and on the other hand, only to differences arising out of legal relationships, whether contractual or not, which are considered as commercial under Vatican law."
